I played the 10 minute workout game, Jackie Chan power boxing, Walk it Out, and Wii fit II.

The Jackie Chan boxing game stuck out for me. I loved being able to put on the gloves and have my punches translate on the TV game. I think if a game like this could be incorporated into the new technology it would be a great exergame. Use of the PS3 Move or the Xbox 360 Kinect would make the game even more precise and exciting. It also gave me a good workout.

The exergames I played today are the Jackie Chan boxing, DDR, Outdoor Adventures, Gold's Gym Cardio, and Cars on the bike. They all had qualities that stood out: Jackie Chan was very challenging, but I had some frustration with the gloves and the tracking. DDR was fantastic - I loved it!!!!! It was very physically challenging, and I didn't want to stop. Outdoor Adventures was a lot of fun, and not just for kids. It was physically challenging, but I would like a tutorial before each game instead of all three tutorials then all three games. I would forget how to play a game after the first actual game. The gold's gym cardio was nice for beginners and I liked the focus on form and technique, but I wasn't very challenged. I really like the cars game on the bike, but I'm so short I kept slipping down in the seat and smacked my knee on the steering wheel (you should see how close the steering wheel is to the seat in my own car). But the bike game was very challenging, but it needs a seat belt.

I played four exergames today and enjoyed each for their own unique qualities.

DDR Extreme 2 - DDR will always have a place in my heart. It really needs to be unlocked though for full enjoyment.
Walk It Out - I was really surprised by this one. I was walking in place, but Konami makes you walk in rhythm to a specified song's BPM, adding a challenge to the game. I also loved that they did stick in their Bemani music.
PowerBoxing - I enjoyed the training more than the game itself. I could actually feel something in my arms while playing this game. Even better, there's no Nunchuck wire to smack myself in the face with (which I do with Wii Boxing every time.)
Outdoor Challenge - This was actually fun. The unique floor pad in combination with the activities really gave me reason to put a little extra effort into playing. It needs demonstrations of what to do.

The game that stuck out was Cars because you had the game connected to a stationary bicycle. You would peddle the bicycle to move your car through a race car track. The faster you peddled the faster your car would go. I really enjoyed it because I did not have to think about how long I had to peddle the bicycle to get my daily dose of exercise.
