My favorite education game were the math games in the sheppard software webpage. The reason I like them because they had easy instructions, easy to play, fun, and most importantly math concepts were taught. Elementary students from grades 1-5th grade would benefit from these math games.
I liked the NASA games and Math snacks on the computer. The NASA games had informative pages to go along with the mini games. This combo helps with learning. Math snacks are very fun interactive cartoons and games. I liked the interaction of game and learning in the pearl diver game. These games would be good for grade school up to 7th or 8th. The content and interaction will help them learn in a fun and different way.
Smarty pants was my favorite Wii game. I love trivia games and this one really gets you active and excited about getting the questions right. It is suited for all ages if you enter you age at the beginning.
My favorite education game to play today were the games on the Sheppard Software site. They are interactive, address difficult concepts in a fun way, and can be used individually or as a group, such as a teacher projecting it in class on an interactive whiteboard. The player can also choose what concept they need to work on. These are great for all ages, especially elementary, because small children can learn from images so much more effectively than text, because they are still developing their reading skills.
My favorite education game was Science Papa. It was more about using the lab equipment in a simplified manner. I'm kind of curious how single player would be since I only tried multiplayer. I think this game would be good for ages 8-13. It does show the user how to make a bomb. No matter how accurate, that may not be good for super impressionable children.
