Second Day of Exergame Play - July 1

If you could take an exergame or games home today for you and your family to play, which one would it be and why?

If a could take an exergame home today I would choose the following: The Outdoor Adventure game because it's suitable for all ages, has different activities that raise your heart rate in a short period of time. For example skiing slopes, kayaking and jumping rope.

I would take Wii fit home. We have been talking about buying this game but have been been put off by the price and the complete lack of knowledge about the game. To be able to use the game to see if we would like it or use it before we bought it would help.

Also I liked the boxing games... Jackie Chan or 10 minute solutions. I think that a boxing game would get the boys in our home more interested in getting off the couch and playing an exergame. Making exercise into a game is important to keep kids interest.

If I could take an exergame home for my family to try out, I would probably take the Walk It Out game by Konami. I was surprised that with the balance board, I did actually feel a notable workout. I was even thrilled that they included some of their Bemani soundtracks. My mother is diabetic and doesn't always get the exercise she needs to keep her blood sugar under control. I think having this available for her would be more motivation to be more active.

Personally, I enjoyed the PowerBoxing with Jackie Chan. However, I believe it is my adoration of Jackie Chan that made it more amusing than the actual game itself.

If I could take an exergame home today, I would take home DDR. I've been wanting to try it for some time and it is a lot of fun, and physically challenging. The second I would take home is outdoor adventure sports for the Wii, it's much more challenging than I thought it would be, and it is a lot of fun, and it's not just for adults. The third would be the Jackie Chan boxing - I caught a sweat in a few minutes!
